At Butterwick, we appreciate the importance of positive playtimes, and value how key they are when supporting socialisation skills, building friendships and for simply letting off steam. We have made a conscious decision that every year, the funds raised from our Christmas Fayre are used to support the mental health and wellbeing of our pupils. The school council voice the pupils' opinions and wishes and, where possible, we make them come true. Over the last few years, this has included creating a reading, writing and colouring den in the playground where children can enjoy some quiet time, music playing outside with dance equipment, football rebound goals, large connect 4s and jenga, bug hunt equipment, many space hoppers (everyone's favourite) and many, many more resources. I am sure you can see by the photographs just how welcomed they have been and what a positive impact they have had.
